The ladder below is based on the finish of the 2017 boys season and where each player played. Junior Varsity players will appear below any varsity players to start.
The purpose of challenge matches over the off-season is to improve your match play

for our team to have the ability to "hit the ground running" with people mostly in place once the season begins.

The top 6 players in the ladder at the start of the Spring 2018 season will be singles. All others will pair off to be our all-important doubles teams.

THE "UNWRITTEN RULES"
TO CHALLENGE:
- Contact Coach at [email protected] to obtain their contact info.
- email/call or text them (contact info will be provided by Coach). They are your teammate. Be courteous.
RULES:
- Matches are Pro 10 sets (tie breaker at 10-10) OR whoever is winning at the end of the 1-hour time slot (if indoors).
- You may only challenge one level above you.
- If you are challenged, you can either... A) accept the challenge (within 48 hrs) and set a date within two weeks of the challenge date at an indoor club. (if 2 weeks passes and the match has not taken place due to the person being challenged unable/unwilling to make themselves available, the challenger gains the higher spot. If there is no court time available, contact Coach.). B) decline the challenge and forfeit your position.
- If you challenge and lose, you may not challenge that seed again for 3 weeks unless a new player appears at that seed because they lost their challenge match.

- You may only make one challenge above you per week. Remember, you will need to make yourself available to accept challenge matches from those below you too.
THE "UNWRITTEN RULES"
- Understand that your opponent is your teammate and act as such through all communications about your challenge match.
- Be fair with your line calls and demonstrate sportsmanship no matter your result.
- Understand the purpose of these off season challenge matches (see above).
- Contact Coach at [email protected] if you have any issues or if you have tried to find court time but can't. In addition, if paying for court time (should be about $20 per person/hr) is an issue, let Coach know.
